Co-Presidents' Message What PASE Did During Summer Sophomore Shares Internship Dreamcast-A Dream Come True?
|
By Michelle Togonon On behalf of PASE, we would like to welcome you to the 1999-2000 academic year. We here at PASE are excited about the upcoming year, and we hope you are too. The year 2000 is coming up in just a few short months, and there is a lot of excitement in the air. We are ready to welcome the new millennium (even though it does not technically start until 2001). This school year, PASE has decided to try a few new things. In the past years, PASE has held its meetings every other Wednesday. As you may have seen in the calendar of events, this is not the case. This year's board has decided to emphasize quality versus quantity in order to offer members substantial meetings and events. PASE has also scheduled a karaoke night with our esteemed alumni. Ever wondered how well your fellow PASErs can carry a tune? Well, this would be your chance to find out. Also this November, PASE will host its first every Starcraft Tourney - Brood Wars style. Think you can hold your own? We'll see on November 6th...This winter, PASE is planning to co-sponsor an etiquette workshop with other engineering clubs, such as Chicano and Latino Engineers and Scientists Society (CALESS). If you ever pondered what's going on with all the different silverware, glasses, and dishes on the table in front in you, this would be a very good opportunity to learn some etiquette. If you are wondering about our traditional events, don't worry. We are also bringing you events that we have had in the past such as the resume and interviewing workshops, Alumni Nite, Q-Zar Nite, IM sports, and BBQs. As you can see, PASE is looking forward to bringing you a year full of fun and excitement. Between our old and new events, this upcoming academic year holds much promise. Again, we would like to welcome you to the new school year, and we hope it is a successful and enjoyable one for you. |
