Mechanical engineers have been instrumental in creating innovations in the automotive industry. They have worked on projects for movers to help make moving trucks more gas and energy efficient in an effort to help the environment.

UC Davis engineering students often have an opportunity to work with heavy machinery while pursuing summer internships in manufacturing, construction or logistics.
